Guide To Sending a Simple SMS in CXT

  1. Go to ‘Send Messages’ on the left side panel
  2. The Go  to  ‘Quick Send’ 
  3. Once at Quick Send, select whether you want to send an SMS or MMS.  The Default option will always be SMS 
  4. Then choose form the registered numbers you can send from. When you click the ‘ From ‘ dropdown menu , you will see a section of Sender ID options.  You can choose your message to be sent from a shared number, a custom word, or a virtual number.  For further details on Sender ID options, click here:  Available Sender ID Options. 

 

Tip : Replies can only be sent to a shared or virtual number. 

 

  1. Then go to under ‘ To’ and enter the mobile number, or contact or contact group that you wish to deliver your message to. 
  2. Then enter the message content in the ‘Message’ box. 

 

Note: When using ‘Quick Send’, you are unable use the ‘Merge Field’ feature. 

 

 

Tip :  One SMS is 160 characters in length.  If you use more than the 160 character limit,  (or 70 characters for Unicode SMS), your message will be split into a Multi-Part Message. 

 

Note : If you wish to use previously created message templates, click the Templates box to view all of your  previously created templates. 

 

If you want   to use the message that you just created then simply click the ‘Save as Template’  in order to use the template  for future use. 

 

  1. You will then see ‘Message Preview’, this displays how the message will appear when delivered. 
  2. Then simple send your message by clicking ‘ Send Message’ 
  3. If you wish to schedule your message to be delivered at a later time, click ‘Schedule this Message’, and then just enter the time you would like your message to be sent. Then just click ‘Schedule Message’ to confirm.
